A Great time was had by all during Marine Max’s Vendor Day at the Lindenhurst location on Sunday, October 26th. A sunny day helped start the festivities off right as Shoppers enjoyed vendors with everything from yummy cookies, seascape paintings, to beautiful jewelry and scarves.
Most importantly, The United States Coast Guard was teaching everyone boating safety, and combined with Sea Tow we all learned the importance of always being prepared on the water.
Rounding it all off was the amazing not for profit organization called W.A.V.E.S which helps children with disabilities by taking them out on the water to experience the joys of boating.
Add in a little music from WBAB and we all had a rock’in good time! Just another great event at Marine Max in Lindenhurst, where we are United by Water!

Big news for the MarineMax Marina at Chelsea Piers, a new wave attenuation system is finally installed. Scott Seisler, GM at the marina has been struggling for some time with the problem of mitigating wakes, primarily, from the ferries and other commercial traffic on the river. He has been working tirelessly to put all the pieces together to make this happen and when it did he invited me to bring my boat down and cheek out the results. He didn’t need to call twice. I’ve been to Chelsea many times in the past for small parties on board, it’s easier to get New York friends to the boat in Manhattan than to my homeport in New Jersey, so I had a good prior reference. Scott didn’t prompt me as to what to expect, but he would have been correct in calling it a major difference in the comfort level on board and I’m guessing the marine stores will miss the fender sales. Not a lake, but my martini sat upright on my salon table and never spilled a drop. The pictures taken outside and inside of the barrier seconds apart clearly demonstrate the effective nature of this new massive underwater device. Continue reading

“Could it get any better than this!” said Matthew Barbara, Regional President of Marine Max. “This is the best weekend of the summer, the best weather, all here at the Montauk Yacht Club with MarineMax customers and our Sea Ray boaters, friends and family.”
The weekend to remember was the 2nd Annual MarineMax Sea Ray Black&White Party Event, which took place at the fabulous East End destination, The Montauk Yacht Club. Getting there was part of the fun, as 50 boats made their way on the best of seas to Montauk from Lindenhurst and Huntington on Long Island, as well as ports from New Jersey and Rhode Island. A fleet of SeaRays, led by Salesmen Christian, Matt, and Jerry, and the support team from MarineMax, made sure all of the cruisers from the 28’ft. Sea Ray to the 61’ft yacht—made it to safe harbor. “I am amazed at the level of friendliness and support given by the Montauk Yacht Club crew to our customers. Thanks to all for making this event a huge success!” said Audrey Bess, Marketing Director of MarineMax.
